WORLD CUP MOTHER FUCKERS !!!

THE FUCKING OPENING GAME BETWEEN SOUTH AFRICA AND MEXICO WAS FUCKING SICK !

I'm pumped. I don't have cable so I was listening to the game on the radio via internet and ran around the apartment screaming when South Africa scored against Mexico.

If you didn't see the game Mexico got a goal later and the game ended in a TIE.

HOWEVER I am still fucking hyped because South Africa is ranked 83 in the world (by Fifa), while Mexico is rated 17. Mexico was supposed to win that game easy, but instead they were fighting to not loose.

I know lots of people in the states don't like soccer, but it's fucking awesome. It's an intense game, and unlike the basketball and baseball finals, when elimination rounds come there is none of this 7 game series stuff. You got one chance to bring it, and on top of that, if you fail you gotta wait four years until your next shot. THAT is a lot of pressure, and I think that is what makes watching the world cup so exciting.

Besides that, soccer is just a sick fucking sport. Last World Cup (2006 in Germany) a country from Africa called the Ivory Coast was in a civil war, but they put the war on hold because their team made it into the World Cup. There was no movie ending with Ivory Coast winning, but I think it is amazing that people stopped killing each other because they wanted to support their team in the World Cup. I guess that is the other thing: with so much drama between all the countries and politics and wars and anger ... IT IS really refreshing to have the whole world getting together and being excited for something positive for a change.

Furthermore I am just proud of South Africa. So many people talk trash about South Africa and how bad it is and how crappy the leaders and so on. A TON of people even said South Africa would not be able to get it together to host the World Cup. Well they fuckin' did! and I'm glad because now the whole world can see how beautiful the country of South Africa is. AND THE WHOLE WORLD can worry about whether or not their team will win, instead of speculating about who is making weapons and who is harboring terrorists and watching every step Obama is making.

FUCK ALL THAT NOISE ! WATCH SOCCER; AND BE HAPPY BITCH !!

P.S. We need to all come together and realize what the real problem is, who the real enemies are...The referees in the world. That one umpire guy fucked up that perfect game for that pitcher in Detroit, and today the ref's didn't call offsides on that goal Mexico scored ... WHAT THE FUCK?? People need to wake up and see the real problems in the world.

OREGON STRIPPERS

I heard from a few people about Oregon having more strip clubs than any other state, then when I checked it out on google I found this article:

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2003336880_portlandclubs02m.html

Which is about the comparison of strip clubs in Portland to Seattle.

Seattle is a bigger city than portland and in 2006 (when this article was written) it had 4 strip clubs. Portland, in 2006, had 50 strip clubs.

I think it's funny no matter where you drive you will find a strip club. Last night my friend and I were driving downtown and we got lost and ended up driving in the middle of no where. While we were lost we saw three strip clubs out literally in the boondocks. (somewhere on Columbus Ave for those of you who live in Portland).

I think it's hilarious slash awesome that Portland has so many strip clubs.

ORGONE

I'm in Oregon for the month so I probably won't be posting on the regular... gonna try to get a good handful of funny photos tho so be ready foo!

KICK ASS

Saw the movie Kick Ass a couple days ago:

It was directed by this guy Matthew Vaughn that produced about 10 things (including Snatch), but this is only his third time Directing. The movie was GREAT though. From the poster ads and the brief trailers I saw I thought this movie was a kid movie, but it is not. This movie is packed with action and violence and it is done well.

The kid decides to try and fight crime, since no one else seems to want to help, and he ends up in the middle of a beef between an ex-cop (Nicolas Cage) and a mob boss. And there is a lot of comedy, but also a lot of good action.

The movie looked like it was done on a set, which I heard was for a good reason, but I was not too crazy about that. You can tell when they are supposed to be in NY they are not actually, but whatever.

Verdict: GO SEE THIS MOVIE

A NIGHTMARE ON ELM ST.

Fuckin sick

Went to see it in theaters. Didn't jump or freak out too much, but I can't deny that Nightmare on Elm St. was mad entertaining.

It is different than the original but still based on the characters... i guess similar to alice and wonderland, only I was more aware of that change this time. Even though it wasn't a direct remake, it was still awesome and the new Freddy looks dope.

Wes Craven is gonna be making money off Freddy for a long time...

IM BACK

yooo So I got back from the shoot at the cabin with no voice. The second to last night we were outside next to a lake running four kino's and one HMI right up until the sun came up. I got about a good 2 hours of sleep then woke up the last day with no voice.

OVERALL it was mad fun (as expected) and I think it's gonna turn out great. It's called "Some call it Love" and I'm sure I will have a trailer posted in a few months.

I didn't take a lot of pictures with my phone because it was always fighting for service and killing the battery way too fast. I did turn it on one day and got some pictures of a day time scene that i lit with 3 kino lights and two 1200 watt HMI's.

THIS is what the room looked like:

WHAT YOU MAY NOT KNOW is that we shot this scene late at night, but I had enough fire power to make it look like it was day. (or at least that's what i was trying to do).

This is a shot from inside with the DP and his AC settin' up the camera:

This is supposed to be a way cool panoramic photo of the room, but between texting the photo to Gmail and uploading it onto Blogspot, it turned into this tiny picture that no one can see:

This is the final result. The room is lit, the camera is set, and this is the frame.

One of the camera operators from set emailed me a giant link to a ton of photos from his camera, but I'm not gonna leak them photos namean? you'll have to hit me up if you want to see more. THE REST OF THE SHOOT was awesome (as I already said) and I have nothing more to say other than working on film sets is probably the most fun work I have ever done. The hours are long and the work is hard, but you get lots of free food!

One crazy thing that happened, an HMI fell from about 50 feet in the air and smashed into the ground while we were shooting in the forest. ($6,000 light). Luckily no one was hurt, and thanks to the soil, there was minimal damage to the light.
