IM BACK
yooo So I got back from the shoot at the cabin with no voice. The second to last night we were outside next to a lake running four kino's and one HMI right up until the sun came up. I got about a good 2 hours of sleep then woke up the last day with no voice.
OVERALL it was mad fun (as expected) and I think it's gonna turn out great. It's called "Some call it Love" and I'm sure I will have a trailer posted in a few months.
I didn't take a lot of pictures with my phone because it was always fighting for service and killing the battery way too fast. I did turn it on one day and got some pictures of a day time scene that i lit with 3 kino lights and two 1200 watt HMI's.
THIS is what the room looked like:

WHAT YOU MAY NOT KNOW is that we shot this scene late at night, but I had enough fire power to make it look like it was day. (or at least that's what i was trying to do).

This is a shot from inside with the DP and his AC settin' up the camera:

This is supposed to be a way cool panoramic photo of the room, but between texting the photo to Gmail and uploading it onto Blogspot, it turned into this tiny picture that no one can see:

This is the final result. The room is lit, the camera is set, and this is the frame.

One of the camera operators from set emailed me a giant link to a ton of photos from his camera, but I'm not gonna leak them photos namean? you'll have to hit me up if you want to see more. THE REST OF THE SHOOT was awesome (as I already said) and I have nothing more to say other than working on film sets is probably the most fun work I have ever done. The hours are long and the work is hard, but you get lots of free food!
One crazy thing that happened, an HMI fell from about 50 feet in the air and smashed into the ground while we were shooting in the forest. ($6,000 light). Luckily no one was hurt, and thanks to the soil, there was minimal damage to the light.

6 FLAGS
Went to 6 flags on wednesday... not very long lines, nice hot day, it was sick.

BEFORE I got there I would like to say I was psyched to find out the old school method of fixing frozen or malfunctioning technology worked out for me on wednesday. That may be confusing so here is the explanation: I was on my way to pick up my cousin from his grandmother's house and the GPS decided to be frozen and not find me on the map. I tried restarting it. I tried unplugging it form the car. I tried cooling it off with the air conditioning. NOTHING WORKED... SOooo I put it on my leg and smacked the shit out of it, and it found me within 2 seconds after that. Reminded me of back in the day (before aliens gave us laser technology) when we had VCR's and TV that worked from antennae's that sometimes when it wasn't working you had to slap the shit out of the machine to fix it. I'm real glad that method worked for me, it started the day off right.
STARTED THE DAY OFF with Nitro !

Convinced the kid to go on King Da Ka... Reaches 128 MPH in 3.5 seconds. Goes almost 500ft High then straight down (as you can see).

6 Flags is fucking SICK I love the place. I kind of realized everything I post on here is something I review... Thus if you like the same shit as me you might like my blog because I'll tell you about shit you should be doing and shit you shouldn't be doing :) SO i feel kind of obligated to review 6 Flags, but at the same time I don't have much to say other than it is fucking awesome. I always have a blast every time I go... If you seen my facebook then you seen the last time I went and this same kid on the El Toro WITH A PRICELESS FACE.
Which, by the way, I got more picture from my most current trip, but nothing will ever match the picture I put on Facebook. So, I am not gonna find a scanner to scan them in. SORRY. In one of the pictures we bought (we bought 2) I put on my sunglasses for the picture and later the lady said if a security guard saw that I would have got kicked out for having a loose article on the ride. So if you go to six flags be careful what you do in those photos. I actually saw someone get kicked out for taking a picture of King Da Ka before the ride took off.
Anyways, what do I have to say for six flags? GO . if you like roller coasters you will love this place. If you don't, or have a weak stomach then it might not be fore you.
AS WE FOUND OUT. My cousin can go on all the rides (including King Da Ka), but he doesn't do so well on the rides where his feets aren't planted firmly on the floor. FOR EXAMPLE at the end of the night we had gone on el toro, nitro, and king da ka a lot, but i wanted to go on bizzaro. SO I convinced my cousin to go, AND we soon came to the conclusion that rides that twist and go in loops and have his feet dangling result in PUKE.

Immediately after he threw up he decided he was hungry and I got him a 10 piece nugget meal from McDonald's. I got a number one, and it was a perfect way to end the day!
SAINTS ROW
For anyone who loved GTA3 San Andreas better than any other GTA on the planet... you might like Saint's Row. I've been playing Saint's Row 2 on my cousin's XBOX for a few days and i'm totally addicted... It has a TON of corny aspects. Like after you get shot, you just run away for 20 seconds and your life refills... the opponents die almost instantly as long as a bullet hits them anywhere.
the missions are way too easy, the story line is kind of corny, and the missions are outrageous. For example your character gets away from a police precinct by stealing the helicopter on the roof... and the first mission you do you break out of prison pretty easily, and after that you can go roam around insideprison whenever you want. BUT it is still pretty damn fun. One corny thing, but I like it, is you can earn upgrades (like dual uzi's with infinite ammo which basically makes your unstoppable) and I got the upgrade to make your gang outfits ninja suits.
I obviously now have my gang always walking around our neighborhood dressed like ninjas and it is awesome... below is a screen shot from inside one of my cribs with my ninjas drinkin 40's

FC Porto
In the lower three.. game tomorrow... if i win and the team above doesn't i'm clear again, and i'm playing dindane even tho he isn't fully recovered ... suspense.

BOOKS
I finished the THIRD book out of the FOUR my mother sent me for christmas and my birthday. The three i finished (in order) are:
Cold Fire by Dean Koontz
The Road by Cormac McCarthy
A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson
Cold Fire was Craazy... or another word i might use is imaginative. I won't say too much except that the story is about a guy who keeps saving people. THAT part of the story is actually really cool... the force behind his super power is a mystery for the majority of the book. Actually, the book is more about the main character finding out where his powers came from. His POWER is that he can be in the right place at the right time in order to save someone. Sounds lame, but it's kind of cool. For example, he will get a gut feeling to go to Atlanta; while he is there he keeps getting gut feelings until he ends up in a weird situation that results in him saving someone. Was the book worth the read? it was PRETTY long, but I liked it. I must say the twists in the book are real imaginative , but it is overall a fun (and again a LONG) read.
I actually was thinking it would be a nice movie, but there would be a lot to cut out, and I personally would probably want to change the story. I looked this up, and Koontz had a few of his books made into a movie; but they didn't do so great i guess. Also, he writes about taking the first steps to make Cold Fire into a movie, but it didn't work out (probably cuz he's other books didn't do so well as movies... i think he needs better directors).
The road was a book that has been made into a movie. I actually was reading this book around the time that I saw the movie The Book of ELI and the two settings are similar. The world has ended or something and now this man and his son are in a journey to the south to escape the cold. During their journey they encounter all kinds of crazy shit, like cannibals and what not, and it is pretty entertaining. I liked this book and highly suggest anyone read it. It is a interesting look into what might happen if the world were in an anarchist state with scarce water, and it is an easy read. I am interested in seeing the movie.
A Walk in the Woods was real funny and informational too. The guy who wrote it has a real dry sense of humor, but I am into that, so I thought it was pretty funny. The book is written about and by this guy (bill bryson) who hikes the Appalachian Trail (the largest foot trail in the U.S. I think). He is accompanied by his ex-alcoholic friend who is always complaining, but pretty funny, and I definitely laughed out loud to myself a few times reading about their journey. I would suggest reading this. It gives you a lot of knowledge about the trail and other wild life stuff in the states, and it is funny, and not really a hard read.
NOW I am starting to read the last book: Too Late To Say Goodbye by Ann Rule. I am pretty excited because it is a huge hard cover book (the others were soft cover). It appears to be a mystery involving murder and betrayal-AKA-it sounds like a cool book.

EASTER
Clash of the Titans
Seen it in 3d
NOT WORTH SEEING IN 3D !!!!!
If your trying to see an action packed film this is it. In fact there is so much fuckin action in this movie that you have no time at all to get emotionally involved with the characters. I liked it, but the 3D was pointless... I think AVATAR was the only movie worth seeing 3d... the only thing I didn't like much was the end of clash of the titans .......... I don't want to blow it for anyone so you'll have to ask !
Conclusion: worth seeing in theaters, but dont waste your money on the 3d.
FC Porto
Lost one Won one Lost one... Still in the bottom 3 , if I win the next game I will be out again so I'm hopin for that.
