Official In Time
Directed by Andrew Niccol (He wrote - The Truman Show, S1m0ne, The Terminal, Lord of War)
This is the fourth feature this guy directed (according to imdb.com) and also according to that site, he used to direct a bunch of commercials. He did NOT Direct The Truman Show (loved it) or Lord of War (looks badass). It makes me wonder if this movie would have been better, had there been a different director..
Either way - the concept of this movie is really good ... I hope they remake it one day :)
I wasn't too impressed with the skills of JT (or the chick for that matter) and there were a ton of really lame moments in the movie (the special effects being one of those things) - unless Andrew wanted all his actors to seem like emotionless robots ... I am not sure why these character were so stiff.
I would see the movie (not in theater , you can wait until it comes out on dvd) It is a great example of a movie that was almost good, and if you make a list of the reasons why you do NOT like the movie - keep that list close to your heart and make sure to check it twice while you are making your own movie. For example, are my actors displaying no emotion at all?
Lastly - I really hated how easy it was for this guy and girl duo to rob everyone ... I know it was probably made that way to get the point across (or the message of the movie) but COME ON man ... make it an epic next time Andrew!

Breaking Bad
Creator - Vince Gilligan
Just finished Season 1 and am movin' into Season 2, and it's not stoppin until it's over !!!!!!
This show is fucking awesome. A prime example of when you need to hand-hold that camera foo !
The acting is awesome, the story is better and it's created by the guy who created X-Files which was one of the most badass TV shows of it's time.
If you haven't already started watching this show - be careful, it will rule your life.

Paranormal Activity 2
Directed By Tod Williams (not the guy who Directed the first Paranormal Activity)
Pretty much the movie you expected, but that doesn't mean it wasn't cool.
The new security cameras are pretty badass and definitely add a lot to the suspense.
Not the most epic movie in the world - but it did its job as a scary 'ghost' movie to do and it was very entertaining.
check it out.
by the way - the Director of the first one was a producer on the second two, and is now producing more (atta baby)

IP MAN 2
Directed by Wilson Yip
DUH
How could I not see IP Man 2 ?
it was fucking awesome AGAIN. definitely a little more fantastical than the first one... I guess I didn't talk about that when I talked about the first one:
I have never been a huge fan of Kung Fu films because of the fantastical element (people flying across the room doing bicycle kicks and shit) but IP Man is just awesome fighting, and although it does get closer to the 'flying thru the air - fantastical kung fu' in the sequel... it's still fucking awesome
go see it.
IP MAN
Directed by Wilson Yip (any bets 'wilson' aint his real name?)
I FUCKING LOVE THIS MOVIE
I saw it three times so far.
Watch it.
I have nothing more to say.. awesome shots, great coverage, awesome editing/acting AND FUCKING AWESOME ACTION/FIGHTING SEQUENCES
It's an epic - be ready.
Bitch Slap
Directed by Rick Jacobson
This guy has a decent resume (directed some 'Xena' and some 'Baywatch') ... I guess my definition of decent is: he has directed more shit than me and shit that you've heard of; however, it was pretty lame shit.
Bitch Slap was totally lame. They had one exterior location and the rest of the movie's locations were CGI. The movie was probably 80% green screen - which made this movie a perfect example of WHEN AM I USING TOO MUCH GREEN SCREEN? The excessive green screen locations gave the movie a sort of 'comic' feel, which might have been cool, but I don't think it was executed well enough.
The acting story was bad and the acting was bad. The visuals were bad. The only good thing about this movie was the end.
At the end one of the three chics (the innocent one) picks up a samurai sword (that supposedly belongs to some amazing assassin that they all fear) and she reveals that she did all this just to get her sword back (revealing that she is the infamous assassin that you hear about in the movie) ....... I liked that part because I thought it was the only cool character trait in the whole movie.
The fight scenes by the way were done very well too (must be that experience from directing Xena episodes)
Do NOT see this movie - it will be a waste of your time. I would only watch this movie if it was playing at a party and I was wasted and could barley hear the TV ... OR if I wanted to see a great example of when the idea - 'big tits and violence will save this movie' - goes terribly wrong.
